TIA PATRICIOS “Without a doubt, my favorite piece of kit is my Synthesis Stormshell emblazoned with the Pacific Discovery team logo. This jacket has been with me since the very beginning of Pacific Discovery’s journey, making it much more than just a piece of clothing—it’s a symbol of our shared adventure. It also holds sentimental value because it was the very item (in an earlier form) that first connected us with Stormtech, right at the start. I wore it almost constantly while out on the ocean, and it became an essential item, especially when squalls would appear out of nowhere, showering us with rain. Now that I’ve moved to Bermuda, my jacket has taken on a new role. It’s become part of my daily commute, keeping me protected as I ride my scooter to and from the office. Each time I put it on, I’m reminded of our incredible ocean-rowing experience, and I know it’s something I’ll treasure for years to come.” EXPERIENCE WITH STORMTECH GEAR I’m also a huge fan of my other Stormtech gear. Along with Synthesis Stormshell, I have two stylish double-lined winter coats—perfect for colder European climates (though maybe a bit overkill for Bermuda’s mild winters!). I wear them regularly when I travel to chillier destinations. And then there are the waterproof backpacks—another essential. One lives on my motorboat, always ready for use, while the other carries all my diving gear, a hobby I’ve been able to dive back into now that I’m living in Bermuda. UPDATE ON WHAT YOU ARE DOING NOW/NEXT ADVENTURE It’s been a year full of change, and I’m allowing myself the space to adjust and let things settle. I’m also starting to think about what’s next on my bucket list, planning the next adventure with my “carpe diem” mindset firmly in place.
