Stormtech’s journey in the UK and Europe began in 2001, sparked by a rising demand for premium, quality gear in the promotional industry. With a solid reputation already growing in North America, Stormtech saw an opportunity to bring quality outdoor apparel and accessories to a new market, one that was ready for well-designed products built to last. Stormtech Europe
T oday, Stormtech has expanded its footprint significantly. The brand’s distribution network now spans across the UK and Europe, with products stocked by some of the most recognized companies in the industry. BTC Activewear, Ralawise, and PenCarrie represent Stormtech as Stocking Distributors in the UK, while Falk & Ross, L-Shop, and Imbretex carry stock and ensure a steady supply across mainland Europe. In addition, more than 15 Regional Distributors work closely with Stormtech, each bringing an understanding of local market needs and trends. In recent years, there’s been a notable shift in demand toward premium products, a trend that began in North America and is gaining momentum in the UK and Europe. As consumers focus more on quality and longevity, Stormtech’s European presence has increased significantly as the demand has grown. For Stormtech, getting products into the hands of customers is a top priority; it’s a belief that firsthand experience tells the full story. Many customers remark that handling the gear directly highlights a quality often missed in photographs, an aspect that has become central to the brand’s approach in Europe. As we plan for the future, Stormtech is focusing on both expansion and refinement. A new Distribution Center in the Netherlands is expected to streamline the company’s regional operations, while the London Paddington office and showroom offer a central space for meetings and product presentations. The company remains dedicated to responsible and more sustainable business practices, which are at the heart of its long-term plans. This ongoing commitment will be evident in upcoming collections and is a topic Stormtech prioritizes in discussions at industry trade shows, such as Merchandise World and Printwear Promotion. Beyond distribution, the company is placing an emphasis on meaningful engagement with its European customers. By nurturing genuine connections and listening to customer feedback, Stormtech hopes to deepen its understanding of the markets it serves and adapt to their evolving needs. As European buyers continue to prioritize sustainable, high-quality options, Stormtech is focused on ensuring its offerings remain relevant and responsibly crafted.

The Workwear Industry: Requirements and Quality
Our journey began with workwear apparel, an industry known for its stringent demands on durability and long-term use. You Brands has established a strong presence in this segment, renowned for our build-to-last quality in our basic product range. The Nordic workwear industry differs slightly from the rest of Europe, particularly in the areas of merchandise, promo wear, and giveaways. These sectors often brand their logos on products with the same durability standards as workwear. The term “workwear” encompasses any business requiring uniforms or corporate logos on apparel, making it our largest market share, followed by sportswear, events, and crew lines for sustainable use.
Sustainability At You Brands, sustainability is at the core of our operations. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint through various initiatives. Our products are designed with longevity in mind, ensuring they withstand the test of time and reduce the need for frequent replacements. We prioritize the use of eco-friendly materials and processes in our manufacturing. Additionally, we work closely with our suppliers to ensure ethical practices and minimize environmental impact throughout our supply chain. By choosing You Brands, our customers are not only investing in high-quality products but also supporting a sustainable future.

GLOBAL PARTNERS: AUSTRALIA Stormtech Down Under
PARTNERSHIP WITH STORMTECH “We first discovered Stormtech about 15 years ago,” says Allan Murray, CEO of Epicentre, “at a trade show in Las Vegas. We already had years of experience manufacturing apparel, but from the moment we saw the Stormtech product, the outstanding quality immediately stood out above anything we had seen before.” according to Epicentre CEO and Owner Allan Murray, “It took a few years for everything to align for a formalized partnership, but since then, our relationship with Stormtech has grown consistently. Distributors and businesses around Australia have continued to recognize the incredible value of the brand. In addition, the personal values of the Stormtech team and the incredible support that they have provided us over the years have allowed both our business and the Stormtech brand in Australia to flourish.” To us, Stormtech products exemplify an important principle in our business: that promotional merchandise and work apparel should be products people genuinely desire – not just items accepted simply because they were received for free. This principle is interwoven in everything we do. As consumer demand evolves now towards greater sustainable and ethical production, it is reassuring to know that Stormtech continues to innovate and stay ahead of these expectations.
MELBOURNE EXPANSION: With our Brisbane warehouse servicing the Eastern states, expansion to Melbourne was led by 2 specific requirements in our business: • We needed to provide faster stock services to our distributors across the southern and western states. • We needed more warehouse space to accommodate a continued increase in stock levels. It made sense, for both reasons to open a new warehouse and showroom location in Melbourne given that it is both the second largest city in Australia and an important freight hub. The result has been a tremendous success for our distributors, with nearly half now having access to faster stock. Additionally, everyone around the country benefits from significantly larger stock levels to draw from.

How big is the promotional products market in Australia? Promotional products represent a $2 billion industry in Australia and growing. We’ve seen the industry really mature in the last few years, with greater awareness of responsible production and sustainability in a traditionally throwaway industry which has brought some much-needed modernization for the 21st century. What trends are shaping the future of the industry? Three key trends that are shaping the future direction of promotional products and uniforms: 1. “Premiumization” – More than ever, we see end users demanding higher quality promotional products and corporate apparel. This has led to increased demand for recognizable brands that end users trust to deliver the positive experiences they seek. It’s been a great time for brands like Stormtech that have developed a trusted recognized brand over many years. 2. Sustainability and responsible production – Along with the demand for quality is a greater focus on products and brands that produce their goods in a socially responsible and sustainably-minded way. This is why we work with Stormtech who are clear about what they’re doing in this space and can back it up with trusted accreditation.
3. Ease of business – We’ve found that distributors are increasingly time poor and are looking to align with partners who can reduce their back-of-house time so that they can focus on their clients. This is why we have dedicated so much effort to making our products available as a turn-key solution, fully branded, and delivered on our distributor’s behalf to businesses around the country with minimal administration. How many distributors are there in your region? There are approximately 1,000 distributors across Australia regularly reselling Stormtech products to end users, and a growing number more who are coming on-board with the brand. What resonates most with your customers and why? In a country with mild-to-hot weather, Stormtech’s lightweight technical polo shirts with H2X-DRY® moisture-management technology have been incredibly strong – as the only polo shirt brand in the country with a 5-year warranty, it gives end users great confidence that they’re wearing a brand that can handle an Australian summer! We have also seen strong performance in Stormtech’s outerwear products that modernize classic styles – such as the Nautilus Puffer Vest and the Cruise Softshell Jacket. Styles like these really highlight the strengths Stormtech have in bringing the look, fit, and quality of a retail brand into a product and providing a service that meets wholesale corporate needs.

Are there any sponsorships, events, or partnerships involving Stormtech in your region? The demand for Stormtech gear through our partnerships has arisen from the need for merchandise that not only holds its value as a long-lasting keepsake, but also provides high-quality uniforms that maintain a professional appearance on television while performing well in various challenging weather conditions. We have established several partnerships over the years, most notably with the Russell Crowe owned rugby league team, the South Sydney Rabbitohs, and with several motor racing codes including Supercars.

GLOBAL PARTNERS: NEW ZEALAND
With a climate ranging from subtropical in the north and cool temperate climates to the south, New Zealand has a lot in common with it’s neighbor in the northern hemisphere. New Zealand is a synthesis of indigenous Maori, colonial British and other neural influences. To gain a better understanding of this unique market, we invited Gregory Banks, owner of Prime Source to provide some insight. O ne of the most notable changes we’re seeing in NZ is the decline of traditional promotional products. In a world increasingly concerned with sustainability, the impact of single-use, throwaway items is harder to ignore. Many distributors, particularly in Europe, are already seeing a shift: their largest customers are starting to reject promotional products altogether—or at least demanding items that are more meaningful, durable, and environmentally friendly.
As the environmental impact of promotional goods continues to come under scrutiny, the shift to more responsible sourcing and production is becoming unavoidable. Direct Sourcing from China: More distributors are bypassing traditional supply chains and sourcing directly from China, which has made brand recognition even more crucial. This is where Stormtech’s reputation and reliability set them apart. Gregory notes, “Stormtech has built a strong brand that stands for quality and sustainability—a crucial differentiator in today’s competitive market.” Stormtech’s Presence in New Zealand In New Zealand, Stormtech has approximately 100 resellers, and demand for their products is growing. Popular items include polo shirts, bags, and lightweight jackets. Although the South Island experiences colder weather, most of the population resides in the warmer North, where demand for heavier winter jackets is relatively low. Some of the top-selling products in New Zealand include the PS-1(W), PG-1(W), BHS-3(W), PFJ-3(W), and GSX-1(W). These items are in high demand not only because they’re functional and stylish but also because they’re durable and made with sustainable materials.
