VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

1. PURPOSE Stormtech encourages social responsibility, including volunteer activities that enhance and serve the local communities that we live and work in, and provides paid time off for volunteer commitments. 2. APPLICABILITY This policy applies to all full-time and part-time Stormtech associates that have completed three (3) months of continuous service. 3. POLICY Associates who wish to volunteer their services at a charitable organization will be eligible to receive half (1/2) day off, paid, to volunteer per calendar year. • The day may be taken in one half (½) day increment. • The volunteer activity or event must be with a registered charity. • Details regarding the volunteer activity (i.e., date, time, charity) must be provided to the manager. • At least 2 weeks’ notice must be provided to managers for approval. This ensures there is proper business coverage. • Examples of registered charities that offer single-day volunteering: local food banks (Greater Vancouver Food Bank, Surrey Food Bank), Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup (WWF + Ocean Wise), Jericho Stewardship Group, Stanley Park Ecological Society, Canadian Cancer Society). Part-time associates are eligible at a pro-rated schedule, if their regularly scheduled hours are 20 or more per week. 4.
