TERMINATION

1. PURPOSE The Termination Policy provides guidance to Associates regarding requirements and expectations at the end of their employment relationship. 2. SCOPE This policy applies to all Stormtech Associates working in Canadian locations. 3. POLICY Resignation An associate resigning from his/her position must provide two (2) weeks prior written notification to his/her manager. Stormtech may, in its sole discretion, waive the resignation period and end your employment immediately by payment of the base pay you would have earned during the remainder of the resignation period, and any other amounts required by applicable provincial employment standards legislation. Job Abandonment If an associate is absent from work for 3 consecutive days without notifying their manager or the People & Culture team, such associate is deemed to have abandoned your position, and Stormtech may consider termination for cause. Termination for Cause Stormtech may terminate your employment at any time for Cause. You will not be entitled to receive any further pay or compensation except for accrued pay, if any, earned prior to the date of termination of your employment. “Cause” includes, without limitation, but subject to applicable provincial employment standards legislation, breach of this letter agreement and the usual meaning of just cause at common law or under the provincial laws. Termination Without Cause Stormtech may terminate your employment without cause at any time upon providing you with written notice of the termination of your employment, or pay in lieu of notice, or a combination of notice and pay in lieu of notice, as per Associates who leave the company for any reason are entitled to vacation pay for vacation earned, but not taken as of the last day of employment. The rate of vacation pay will be a percentage of salary based on the number of weeks of entitlement, less any amounts previously paid out. Record of Employment A “Record of Employment” will be submitted to Service Canada within five (5) days of the end of the pay period in which the employment was terminated. Stormtech files an electronic record of employment using “ROE Web” so there is no longer a requirement for the paper copy of the Record of Employment.
