DRESS FOR THE DAY
1. PURPOSE The Dress for the Day guidelines provides discretion to select appropriate attire for what your business day holds ahead, ranging from Casual and Business Casual to Formal attire and encourages associates to wear Stormtech branded apparel that we proudly design. 2. SCOPE These guidelines apply to all Stormtech associates working at Canadian locations and to all business activities, including offsite and remote meetings or events. 3. DEFINIITIONS • Casual - attire that is acceptable for an office environment but casual i.e., jeans, t-shirts, running shoes etc. • Business Casual – attire that is acceptable for an office environment but relatively casual. Dress code includes pants below the knee, dark denim, cords, blouse, polo or collared shirt, cardigans, knit sweaters, dress shoes, sleeveless tailored blouses and dresses, denim shirts, dress shoes, open-toe shoes, leather dress sandals and mules, etc. • Business Formal - attire that is acceptable for an office environment but more formal in nature i.e., suit, dress pants, blazer, dress shirt, blouse, tie, dress skirt, dress shoes, etc. 4. GUIDELINES • Stormtech has Dress for the Day standards Monday to Friday and during all business activities. • With Dress for the Day, associates may select appropriate attire for what their business day holds that is suitable for an office environment. Dress for the Day can range from Casual and Business Casual to Business Formal attire. • When associates have a workday that involves meetings with clients, vendors or other partners and stakeholders, associates are required to wear Stormtech branded attire or more formal business attire if appropriate. It is appropriate for leaders to advise of upcoming engagements to which associates in the office may need to dress in Stormtech branded clothing or more formally for meetings, introductions, or other business activities. • While associates may dress comfortably during working hours, Stormtech expects associates to exercise good judgement in their dress and appearance. • Clothing must be neat, clean, and in good taste and not expose an excessive amount of skin or create a safety concern. • Sound judgment is the best initial measure of proper attire and if in doubt about a particular item of clothing, err on the side of conservative. Inappropriate Attire • The following examples are intended to set a minimum standard of attire and eliminate ambiguity of attire that is not permissible in the workplace, it is not an exhaustive list: − Tops or other articles bearing inappropriate writing or pictures. − Flip flops. − Any other styles, designs or materials that are excessively close fitting or reveal excessive skin. − And unprofessional, offensive, inflammatory, or discriminatory slogans, depictions, symbols, pictures, or images of any sort are not permissible. 5.
