• The employee will be responsible for maintaining a homeowners or rental insurance policy containing adequate levels of coverage for injuries or losses to themselves, third parties and family members. • Be secure and in a private, non-public and safe location. Prohibition against reimbursements The company is not responsible for and will not reimburse the employee for expenses relating to remote working, including, but not limited to, travel costs to and from meetings at the office, air conditioning, internet, heating, electrical or other utility costs, except as may be otherwise agreed by the company in writing. Equipment while working remotely. Contact Helpdesk for support in getting equipment needed to do your job remotely. You will need access to a regular internet connection. Printers and additional monitors will not be provided. Stormtech also supports employees with up to $125 annual reimbursement towards remote work equipment like a webcam, office chair, or additional monitors. Please see the Physical Fitness & Wellness Program page for details. When the employee leaves the company, or the remote working arrangement ends, all equipment provided by the company must be returned to the company on the departure/end of arrangement date. All equipment must be returned in the same condition in which it was originally received, subject to normal wear and tear. Computer Depending on your situation, you will be set up with one of the following: 1. VPN access, if you already have a laptop. All employees should continue to follow the Technology Use Policy while working from home. This includes safe browsing, using strong passwords, taking care of equipment, and limiting personal use of the internet to reduce distractions. Phone If Stormtech currently provides you with a phone stipend to cover the cost of your personal cell phone, you are required to forward your work phone to your cell while working remotely. Other employees have the option of forwarding their desk phone to their personal cell phone, confirm with your manager if this is required at this time. If you plan to join Teams meetings remotely from a desktop computer, Helpdesk will supply you with a headset. Making phone calls on behalf of Company Business • If you have poor cell phone coverage areas in your remote workspace: follow these guidelines https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT203032 • Outbound long-distance calls from personal cell phones will not be reimbursed. Use Teams if you need to meet with individuals who are out of country or contact Helpdesk for alternatives. 2. Remote desktop access from your personal home computer if you have a home computer. 3. Remote desktop access and a desktop computer if you do not have a home computer. Due to a temporary supply chain disruption, availability of additional laptops is limited. Technology Policy
