VACATION

1. PURPOSE Stormtech emphasizes the importance of personal time off and encourages associates to use their vacation days for rest, relaxation, and personal pursuits. 2. SCOPE This policy applies to all Stormtech Associates working in the State of California. 3. POLICY • All eligible associates are entitled to paid vacation days as per your Employment Agreement. • Full-time associates are eligible to take vacation leave after they have completed their first three (3) months of employment. • The vacation year is January 1 st to December 31 st and vacation days are encouraged to be taken within the year in which it is earned. Vacation leave may be taken before it is earned, up to the associate’s maximum entitlement for the current year in which the vacation is earned. • If the Associate has accrued vacation days that they haven’t used yet when their employment ends, the Associate is entitled to vacation pay that is earned based on time worked. • If an Associate’s employment ends and they have taken a greater number of paid vacation days than was earned, based on time worked, the Associates final pay may include a deduction of the over-payment of vacation pay or the Associate is required to pay the company back this overpayment. • Employees on unpaid leave of absence cannot take vacation that is not yet earned or accrued. • Vacation days may be taken in one (1) day increment or half (½) day increments. • Associates may carry-over up to five (5) days in any given year, but these days must be used before the end of the following vacation year. • The above entitlements will be pro-rated for partial years of employment. Associates will be given credit for the entire month of hire, regardless of the commencement date. • Associates hired in the fourth quarter will not have completed three months of employment and are ineligible to take vacation leave until the following year. This carry over vacation leave must be used by the end of the following year. • Vacation pay does not accrue while an associate is on sick leave or other temporary or extended leaves of absence including temporary unpaid leave, maternity and/or parental leave. During these leaves and any protected leaves, associates will continue to accrue vacation time. The associate may use unpaid accrued time upon returning to work at a time convenient to the Company and Associate. 4. PROCESS • Associates must provide reasonable notice when submitting vacation requests (at minimum two weeks’ notice or as soon as it becomes known) and submit the Leave Request form to their manager for approval. The Leave Request Form can be obtained from the Company intranet site or People & Culture. In the event that the associate later decides, not to, or cannot, take the vacation as requested, she/he must advise his/her manager. • Vacation scheduling is the responsibility of department managers or supervisors who will ensure that all associates are given their full vacation entitlement while taking into account the efficiency of the department
