ENTRETIEN DURABLE DES PRODUITS STORMTECH s’engage à éduquer les consommateurs sur la durabilité des produits en leur expliquant des façons simples de prolonger la durée de vie de nos vêtements, tout en protégeant l’environnement. L’entretien des produits contribue à 25% de l’empreinte carbone d’un vêtement par le lavage, le séchage, le repassage et le nettoyage à sec. En suivant les instructions d’entretien ci-dessous, vous contribuerez à prolonger la durée de vie de vos vêtements STORMTECH tout en minimisant votre empreinte carbone.

INSTRUCTIONS D’ENTRETIEN DES PRODUITS H2XTREME® • L’entretien routine de vos vêtements H2XTREME® assure une performance optimale. • Fermez toutes les fermetures éclair et les fermetures auto-agrippantes pour éviter les accrocs. • Lisez l’étiquette d’entretien pour des instructions spécifiques de lavage et de séchage. • Selon les meilleures pratiques pour la plupart des vêtements d’extérieur imper-respirants, il est recommandé de les laver selon l’usage suivante : – Activité légère (occasionnelle, marche) : Laver après 20 à 30 jours d’utilisation – Activité intense (ski, course à pied, randonnée) : Laver après 10 à 15 jours d’utilisation FABRIC WATERPROOF RATINGS This rating refers to the amount of rainfall a fabric can withstand in a single day measured in mm/24 hours. A fabric’s waterproof rating is directly related to its ability to withstand water under pressure in a controlled environment. FABRIC BREATHABILITY RATINGS This refers to how many grams of moisture vapor can pass through a square meter of material in a single day measured in g/m/24 hours. A fabric’s breathability rating is directly related to its ability to allow moisture vapor to pass through it. PER-FLUORINATED CHEMICAL-FREE (PFC-FREE) The material, fabric, or membrane is an organofluorine compound that is free of containing any carbon-fluorine bonds. REPELLENCY The ability of a fabric to resist such things as wetting and staining by water, stains, soil. SEAM SEALING A process in which the stitch line of a garment is made leak proof by the application of seam tape or seam-sealing glue. SHOWERPROOF One of the many terms used to describe varying degrees of imperviousness to water. A showerproof fabric will repel water to a limited extent, but is not waterproof. WATERPROOF Fabric that is inherently or has been treated to become resistant to water penetration and wetting. The term “waterproof” refers to conformance to a standard specification and specific condition of a laboratory test method. WATER RESISTANT Fabric treated to resist water or has been given a coating treatment to make it repellent. A degree by which water is able to penetrate a fabric.

GLOSSARY H2XTREME®

The ultimate fabric in waterproof/breathable technology delivers a minimum waterproof and breathable rating of 5,000mm/5,000g/m 2 /24h. 2-LAYER FABRIC Most commonly used fabric configuration for outerwear. 2-layer fabrics use a face fabric, usually made of nylon or polyester, that is bonded with membrane or coated on the back side. Because of the exposed nature of this combination, the garment is finished with a free hanging mesh or taffeta lining – this is used to protect the coating or membrane from dirt and oil contamination. 3-LAYER FABRIC A breathable membrane sandwiched by using a bonding technique between an outer layer face fabric, usually made of nylon or polyester, and a very lightweight backing of tricot or jersey knit to protect the membrane from dirt and oil contamination. AIR PERMEABILITY A measurement of how easily air is passed through fabric. It indicates the breathability of weather-resistant and waterproof fabrics and is an important factor in the performance of outdoor apparel. BREATHABILITY The ability of a fabric to allow moisture vapor to be transmitted through the material. The rating is expressed in a gram measurement of how much vapor per square meter of fabric can transmit through in a 24-hour period; the higher the number, the more breathable the garment. INSTRUCTIONS D’ENTRETIEN DES PRODUITS H2X-DRY® • Lisez l’étiquette d’entretien pour plus de détails sur les instructions de lavage et de séchage. • Fermez toutes les fermetures éclair et les fermetures auto-agrippantes pour éviter les accrocs. • Laver à l’envers avec de l’eau froide au cycle d’essorage doux avec les mêmes couleurs. • Utilisez un détergent doux, de préférence non toxique et biodégradable. • Ne pas javelliser. Ne pas nettoyer à sec. • N’ajoutez pas d’assouplissant, les produits chimiques forts peuvent dégrader la durabilité. • Sécher à l’air libre ou à la machine, à basse température. Une chaleur élevée peut réduire la performance du H2X-DRY® et produire de la statique. • Au besoin, repassez au fer sur une surface froide pour éviter d’endommager les logos ou le matériel qui entre en contact avec la chaleur élevée.
