JURY DUTY
1. PURPOSE Stormtech provides associates with paid jury duty leave as defined by this policy. 2. SCOPE This policy applies to all Stormtech associates working in Canadian locations. 3. POLICY •
The company will grant up to three (3) days paid time off per year for mandatory jury duty when an Associate is required to appear as a result of a court ordered subpoena. The associate will sign-over to Stormtech any jury pay received. • If jury duty extends longer than three (3) days, the associate may use vacation or sick time. • Associates are required to provide prompt notification to their manager or supervisor and the People & Culture department upon receiving a court-ordered subpoena for jury duty. This notice should include the expected duration of the jury duty. • Associates are expected to provide copies of the court-issued subpoena and any relevant jury duty documentation to the HR department for record-keeping purposes. • For Associates, in cases where jury duty extends beyond fifteen (15) consecutive days, please reach out to the People & Culture Department. • Upon completion of jury duty, employees are expected to promptly return to work on their next scheduled workday.
