his/her time off, the company will exercise its right to decide on the scheduled vacation time. However, in this situation the associate will be provided at least two weeks’ notice in writing of the start date of their vacation. The associate must take their vacation at that time. • The most critical time of the year for our business is October 1 st to December 24 th . During this time frame, Time Off requests are to be limited and will be granted at the sole discretion of each Manager. • An associate who is unable to take his/her scheduled time off entitlement at the scheduled time due to illness or an accident (which requires medical attention or hospitalization) occurring before the beginning of his/her time off may defer the time off to a date agreed upon with his/her Manager. • People & Culture and Payroll is responsible for monitoring Time Off schedules and shall ensure it is paid correctly and in a timely manner, consistent with the provisions of this Policy. • Stormtech USA Inc. reserves the right to impose a mandatory Time Off leave based on operational needs at its sole discretion. • Prior to an Associates last pay with the Company, People & Culture and Payroll calculate Time Off entitlements that either need to be paid or deducted from the Associate on the last pay. PAID TIME OFF If an associate takes Time Off and receives pay prior to accrual and the associate leaves the company for any reason before such accrual is earned, Stormtech will deduct the Time Off overpayment from any and all monies paid to the associate on their final pay until the overpayment has been reimbursed to the company. No payment will be made in lieu of vacation leave except where an associate ceases employment. 5. RESPONSIBILITIES Managers are responsible for • Receiving, reviewing, scheduling, and approving time off requests, providing documented confirmation of approval or denial and monitoring time off requested and taken. • Advising People & Culture/Payroll of any changes or revisions to approved time off plans. Associates are responsible for • Adhering to the processes set forth in this policy and reporting any time off or payment errors. People & Culture is responsible for • Monitoring vacation schedules and ensuring time off pay is paid correctly and in a timely manner, consistent with the provisions of this policy.
