BEREAVEMENT LEAVE

1. PURPOSE Stormtech provides Associates bereavement leave upon the death of an immediate family member as defined in this policy. This leave is granted for purposes of attending the funeral, services, ceremonies, and/or interment, making necessary arrangements, travel related to the death and bereavement time. 2. SCOPE This policy applies to all full-time and part-time Stormtech Associates working in California locations that have completed thirty (30) days of continuous service. 3. POLICY • Associates are entitled up to five (5) days unpaid leave in the event of a death of an immediate family member. Additional unpaid leave will be considered, as circumstances require. • An immediate family member is defined as spouse, common-law spouse, mother, father, stepmother, stepfather, child, stepchild, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister, grandparent, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, or legal guardian. • Bereavement Leave doesn’t need to be taken consecutively, but it must be completed within three months of the family member’s passing.

4. RESPONSIBILITIES

It is the responsibility of each associate to: • Provide the necessary documentation for jury duty or other as required. • Ensure the time off is accounted for on timesheets. It is the responsibility of the manager to: • Ensure the time off is approved and recorded correctly.
